Housing Services Manager - Long Stratton, Norfolk £48,000 per annum | Permanent | 37 hours per week | Hybrid working
Our client is looking for an experienced Housing Services Manager to lead a team of Neighbourhood Officers and deliver excellent tenancy and neighbourhood management services across general needs housing stock. Based in Long Stratton, this is a hybrid role, offering a blend of office, home and suitable local working. You will provide visible leadership, manage complex housing cases and help shape a high-performing, customer-focused service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching and performance-managing a team of Neighbourhood Officers.
- Overseeing tenancy sign-ups, tenancy sustainment, home visits, estate management, ASB, safeguarding and tenancy audits.
- Managing complex housing management and legal cases, ensuring risks are identified and appropriate action is taken.
- Driving service improvement through performance data, customer insight, feedback and Housing Ombudsman learning.
- Leading service complaint responses and supporting evidence submissions to the Housing Ombudsman.
- Developing and embedding effective tenancy and neighbourhood management policies and procedures.
- Building strong working relationships with residents, local authorities and external partners.
- Managing budgets and resources in line with delegated authority and audit requirements.
- Supporting resident engagement activity and ensuring tenant voice influences service delivery.
- Providing out-of-hours management support when required and deputising for the Head of Housing.
To be considered, you will need:
- Significant housing management experience within a housing association or similar setting, alongside proven experience of leading teams and improving services.
- Strong knowledge of tenancy and neighbourhood management, including ASB, safeguarding, estate management and tenancy sustainment.
- A CIH Level 4 qualification, or the willingness to work towards it, is required.
- A Basic DBS check will also be required.
