Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyer to join an East London Borough Council on an initial 12-week contract.
Rate: £55 per hour umbrella
Location: East London - 1 day per week in the office, 4 days remote
Hours: 36 per week
Duration: 12 weeks, with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on a broad range of Children's Services and childcare matters.
- Manage complex casework and undertake advocacy in court proceedings, tribunals and inquiries.
- Advise and support clients on relevant legislation, case law and best practice.
- Attend and provide legal advice to committees, panels and safeguarding meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with relevant childcare law experience.
- Experience managing complex Children's Services caseloads and advocacy.
- Local authority experience is desirable.
