Job Title: Experienced Children and Family Social Worker
As an experienced children and family social worker, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert support and intervention across a variety of complex cases. You will be covering mat leave within the team based in Kirkintilloch, initially for a 2-week contract with the possibility of extending to a longer term if you are a great fit for the team.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Managing child protection cases and ensuring children's safety
- Working with Looked After Children (LAC), Care Proceedings, and Court Services
- Conducting children's hearings and assessments
- Supporting families through intervention and family support plans
- Collaborating closely with partner agencies and attending team meetings
- Documenting casework thoroughly and maintaining compliance with legal and organizational standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience in children and families social work
- Proven knowledge of child protection, LAC, and court procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and case management skills
