Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Greater Manchester for an experienced Information Governance Officer to join its team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in information governance, Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and information administration.
The successful candidate will be responsible for logging and processing information requests through the Civica system, while also supporting the progression and handling of requests to ensure they are dealt with efficiently and within relevant legislative requirements.
The assignment is expected to last approximately 1–2 months, with the potential for the requirement to be reviewed.
Location: Greater Manchester / Hybrid
Contract: Temporary, approximately 1–2 months
Umbrella Rate: £20.94 per hour
PAYE Rate (including holiday pay): £16.31 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Log, record and process information requests using the Civica system.
- Handle and support the processing of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
- Assist with the progression and management of information requests from receipt through to completion.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure information is logged and tracked appropriately.
- Monitor request progress and support the team in meeting relevant deadlines.
About You
- Previous experience in Information Governance, FOI processing or a related administrative role.
- Essential: Experience processing and logging information requests using the Civica system.
- A solid understanding of relevant information governance legislation and the requirements surrounding FOI requests.
- Experience supporting requests beyond initial logging, including progressing them towards completion.
