Supervisor – Fareham, Hampshire

We are recruiting a Supervisor to join a well-established property maintenance and facilities management operation in Fareham. This permanent Supervisor position offers a salary of £43,250–£44,557 per annum, a company vehicle and fuel card, and the opportunity to lead high-quality maintenance services.
The Supervisor Opportunity
As Supervisor, you will oversee responsive repairs, void properties and planned maintenance works from initial survey through to completion. You will manage operatives and subcontractors, monitor service standards and support the successful delivery of larger maintenance projects.
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Manage responsive repairs, void properties and planned maintenance works.
- Survey and scope works, including kitchens, bathrooms and void properties.
- Provide accurate information for job costing, scheduling and resource planning.
- Supervise, coach and support operatives to maintain quality, productivity and excellent customer service.
- Monitor workmanship, health and safety, vehicle safety, van stock and materials.
- Recruit, induct and support operatives, including probation, performance and absence management.
- Deliver toolbox talks and complete workplace observations, accident investigations and near-miss reviews.
- Investigate service issues, recurring defects and operational risks, escalating matters to the Contract Manager.
- Maintain accurate records using job management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Participate in out-of-hours escalation arrangements and provide flexible support across other contracts.
About You
- At least five years’ experience in multi-trade building maintenance.
- Proven experience supervising operatives and managing responsive repairs, maintenance and planned works.
- An NVQ or equivalent qualification in a relevant trade.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Strong technical, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Practical knowledge of health and safety and quality control.
- The ability to pass a DBS check before starting employment.
