Position Overview
The successful Family Safeguarding Social Worker will be responsible for working with families to safeguard children and support positive outcomes. This contract role is scheduled for 2 weeks, offering a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute their expertise on a short-term basis.
Key Responsibilities of the Family Safeguarding Social Worker
- Conduct thorough assessments of families and their circumstances
- Develop and implement safety plans in collaboration with families
- Work closely with multi-agency teams to ensure children’s safety and welfare
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies
- Provide support and advice to vulnerable families to promote safeguarding
- Ensure all interventions adhere to statutory guidance and safeguarding protocols
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Family Safeguarding Social Worker
- Relevant qualifications aligned with JDPS specifications
- Ability to demonstrate clear safeguarding practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current safeguarding legislation and procedures
- Gaps in employment history will be checked along with reference verification
