Job Details
- Position: NHS 111 Health Advisor
- Location: Fully Remote
- Hours: Flexible ad hoc shifts
- Pay Rate: From £17 per hour (Umbrella)
- Enhanced Rates: Uplifts available for nights and weekends
Essential Criteria
- Recent experience working within an NHS 111 role within the last 3 months.
- Ability to provide recent call audits as evidence of competency and performance.
- Active NHS Pathways training, with the ability to provide evidence of current training and competency.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the First Point of Contact for Patients
- Answer NHS 111 calls, listen carefully to patients' concerns and gather relevant information to understand their needs.
- Assess Patient Needs Safely
- Use NHS Pathways and approved procedures to assess urgent and non-urgent conditions, ensuring safe and appropriate outcomes.
- Direct Patients to the Right Care
- Signpost callers to the most appropriate services, including self-care, primary care, urgent treatment centres, community services or emergency care.
- Manage Challenging Conversations
- Support distressed, anxious and vulnerable callers with empathy, professionalism and appropriate boundaries.
- Multitask with Accuracy
- Navigate multiple IT systems, maintain accurate records and follow established processes while speaking with callers.
- Deliver High-Quality Care
- Work in line with quality standards, service expectations and compliance requirements, always prioritising patient safety.
- Continue Learning and Development
- Participate in training, coaching, competency assessments and ongoing development to maintain and enhance your knowledge.
- Support Safe Patient Care
- Identify safeguarding concerns, elevate appropriately and demonstrate the values of Care, Excellence, Respect and Innovation in every interaction.
