About the Childcare Solicitor Role
As a Childcare Solicitor , you will be responsible for handling a variety of childcare cases, primarily focusing on issues involving local authorities. The role involves a mix of court appearances, legal advice, and document preparation. You will be working closely with local authorities and providing legal guidance on complex childcare matters.
Key Responsibilities of the Childcare Solicitor
- Attend court in Birmingham for hearings and proceedings
- Provide expert legal advice on children's law and local authority cases
- Prepare and review legal documents and reports
- Attend meetings with clients, caseworkers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and procedures
- Manage casework efficiently within the contract duration
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate
- Experience in children’s law, particularly with local authorities
- Strong legal knowledge in childcare and family law
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
