Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Joiner to join a responsive repairs team carrying out maintenance and refurbishment works to occupied and void council properties across Bury.
This is a practical role suited to a time-served Joiner who is confident carrying out general joinery repairs while also being able to assist with basic multi-skilled works.
Key Duties
- Carry out responsive joinery repairs and maintenance to occupied and void properties.
- Diagnose and resolve repair issues where possible on the first visit.
- Complete general joinery repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works.
- Undertake associated multi-skilled duties including basic plumbing, tiling, plaster patching and general maintenance.
- Work safely and in line with relevant health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment and remove waste where required.
- Complete job records and update information using relevant mobile/PDA systems.
- Work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
- Communicate professionally with tenants and provide a high standard of customer service.
- Identify and report any additional works required that cannot be completed during the initial visit.
About You
- Experience as a Joiner / Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Joiner.
- A time-served Joinery background with relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working within social housing repairs and maintenance is highly desirable.
- Good practical joinery skills and experience undertaking responsive repairs.
- Ability to carry out basic plumbing, tiling, plaster patching and other associated maintenance tasks.
- Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
- Own tools – essential.
- A reliable and professional approach to work.
