Empty Homes (Voids) Supervisor – INDM1
Location: Bracknell Salary: £48,180 per annum Contract: Permanent
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an Empty Homes (Voids) Supervisor to join a housing organisation on a permanent basis in Bracknell. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a construction, maintenance or social housing background to lead a team responsible for delivering empty properties to the required lettable standard, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely and within agreed timescales and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of empty homes, ensuring properties meet the required letting standards and are completed within agreed timescales.
- Survey empty properties and allocate remedial works to the relevant trade teams.
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of trades operatives, ensuring high standards of performance and compliance.
- Monitor operational KPIs, inspect completed works and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage external contractors, ensuring quality standards, service level agreements and performance targets are met.
- Monitor budgets, costs, variations and expenditure to ensure value for money.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an effective, customer-focused empty homes service.
Requirements
- Previous experience within construction, property maintenance or a related service.
- Experience managing and motivating a team, ideally across multiple locations.
- Good understanding of commercial costs, budgets and working to deadlines.
- Awareness of Health & Safety requirements within a construction or maintenance environment.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A customer-focused approach, with the ability to take ownership of issues and drive improvements.
