Adults Safeguarding Social Worker / Senior Social Worker Birmingham City Council Service Care Solutions are recruiting experienced Adults Safeguarding Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join Birmingham City Council's Adult Social Care service.
Pay Rates
Social Worker - £28.40 per hour Umbrella
Senior Social Worker - £31.97 per hour Umbrella
Working Pattern
35 hours per week
Hybrid working
Office attendance required as advised by the service
About the Role
Working within a busy Adults Safeguarding Team, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of adults with complex needs, carrying out safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014, undertaking assessments, support planning, mental capacity assessments, and working closely with partner agencies to reduce risks and promote independence.
You will play a key role in protecting vulnerable adults, leading safeguarding investigations, attending strategy meetings, and ensuring effective outcomes through person-centred practice.
Essential Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Minimum 2 years' permanent experience within Adult Social Care
- Experience of safeguarding adults and undertaking statutory interventions
- Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014 , Mental Capacity Act 2005 , and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment
