Asset & Estates Surveyor
West Midlands Based Council Hybrid Working 6 Month Contract
£358 per day PAYE / £450 per day Umbrella
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Asset & Estates Surveyor to join a West Midlands Local Authority on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Property Team, managing a varied commercial property portfolio while supporting the Council's wider Asset Management Strategy.
The Role
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied commercial property portfolio
- Lead property acquisitions and disposals
- Deal with landlord & tenant matters
- Negotiate leases, licences and agreements
- Support delivery of the Council's Asset Management Strategy
- Provide strategic property advice to Council services
- Maximise asset performance and rental income
- Manage external consultants and professional advisers
- Maintain accurate asset and estates records
- Prepare reports for senior management and elected members
Requirements
- Experience within Asset Management or Estates Management
- Strong knowledge of landlord & tenant matters
- Experience with acquisitions and disposals
- Commercial property negotiation experience
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- RICS qualification (or equivalent) desirable
- Previous Local Authority or Public Sector experience would be highly advantageous
