Service Care Solutions are supporting a reputable non-profit provider and they are currently recruiting for a Young Person’s Engagement Worker. As a Young Person’s Engagement Worker you will play a crucial role by supporting individuals and families that have issues around Drug & Alcohol addiction. The Ideal candidate needs to be experienced within the Substance Misuse field but also someone who is highly driven and highly motivated to have an impact on Young People’s lives.
You will be responsible for managing a case load of Children & Young People across West Midlands. You will be engaging with young people within schools, family centres and colleges. You will work closely with a range of partner agencies to support young people to achieve positive changes whilst providing opportunities to improve their life chances for a brighter future.
Key role and responsibilities for a Young Person’s Engagement Worker;
- Preventing escalation including wellbeing coaching to those who access the hub that may need short term goals focused support.
- Accessible open access information, advice & guidance.
- Tailored emotional and practical support that is trauma informed.
- Timetable of access for partner agencies including sexual health, substance use, mental health.
- Promoting positive well-being through themed events and clubs.
Minimum requirements for a Young Person’s Engagement Worker;
- Experience of working within the Substance Misuse field
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Experience of community engagement
- Experience of working with Young People and to have a positive impact of their lives
