Service Care Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Community Safety Officer to join a leading housing provider on a 12-week temporary contract, based in Yeovil. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation at an exciting point of transition, moving towards a regional delivery model while maintaining a strong local presence to ensure neighbourhoods remain safe, secure, and places people are proud to live.
The Role
You will manage a challenging and varied caseload, with no two days the same. The role focuses heavily on safeguarding and community safety, requiring confident case management and strong partnership working. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and resolving anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases
- Responding to and managing safeguarding concerns
- Supporting victims of domestic abuse
- Progressing legal action, including court processes where required
- Undertaking home visits and neighbourhood inspections
- Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings
- Working closely with internal teams and external partner agencies
- Maintaining accurate case notes, records, and reports
Mileage will be paid for visits across neighbourhoods.
About You
We’re looking for a strong team player with:
- Proven experience managing ASB and safeguarding cases
- Knowledge of relevant tools, powers, and legislation used to prevent and tackle ASB
- Experience supporting vulnerable customers and victims of domestic abuse
- Excellent communication and case management skills
- Confidence working collaboratively across agencies and services
