Service Care Solutions are working alongside a National Drug & Alcohol Service who are looking to recruit a motivated and talented Young Persons Recovery practitioner. Please find a description of the role below.

Role: Recovery Worker

Rate: £18.14 to £20.62 per hour (PAYE exc.)/ £20.15 to £23 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd)

Location: Warrington

Working: 5 days per week. 37.5 hours.

Contract: 12 weeks with view to extend

Role Overview:

  • MUST have active Enhanced DBS
  • Deliver age-appropriate, high-quality drug and alcohol services to young people and young adults (up to age 25), including support for families, careers and friends
  • Provide early intervention and prevention work across youth settings to reduce substance misuse and risk-taking behaviours
  • Deliver person-centered, low-threshold services tailored to individual needs and preferences
  • Facilitate evidence-based one-to-one and group psychosocial interventions, taking an assertive approach to engagement and re-engagement
  • Provide harm reduction, prevention advice, education and targeted outreach, including brief interventions and resilience building
  • Support young people to develop healthy boundaries, emotional resilience and self-esteem, and prevent escalation of substance misuse and exploitation
  • Deliver structured, time-bound projects, school sessions and assemblies, responding to emerging risks such as County Lines and criminal exploitation
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and key partners to support access to education, employment, health and wellbeing services
  • Support and involve volunteers, peer mentors and service user representatives
  • Identify and manage safeguarding risks in line with local, national and organisational policies
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary reviews and maintain accurate case records in line with information governance requirements
