Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of Wrexham County Borough Council for experienced Child Protection Social Workers to join their Family Support Team. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled practitioners looking for a stable contract within a supportive local authority setting.

Contract Details:

  • 4-month ongoing contract
  • £38.43 per hour (Umbrella) / £28.70 per hour (PAYE)
  • Hybrid working – minimum 3 days per week in the office

Role Overview:

You will be working within the Family Support Team, managing a varied and complex caseload. This will include Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Public Law Outline (PLO) cases, with the potential for court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold and manage a caseload involving CIN, CP, and PLO
  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews
  • Prepare reports and statements for court where required
  • Carry out statutory visits and ensure compliance with legislation
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and families
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
  • Significant experience in Child Protection and safeguarding
  • Experience with court work and PLO processes is desirable
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory duties
  • Ability to manage a busy and demanding caseload
