Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Substance Misuse Support Worker to join a service based in Worcester on a locum basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of clients, providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Completing comprehensive assessments, support plans and risk assessments.
- Delivering harm reduction interventions, advice and practical support.
- Supporting service users with recovery planning and achieving individual treatment goals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.
- Following safeguarding procedures and managing risks appropriately.
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies and statutory services to ensure coordinated support.
Essential Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals affected by substance misuse.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk management.
- Understanding of recovery-focused interventions and harm reduction approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload and work effectively with vulnerable individuals.
- Experience within community drug and alcohol services would be highly desirable.
