Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Housing Association for an experienced

Fire Risk Officer to join their Fire Safety team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation committed to maintaining the highest standards of fire safety and compliance across its residential portfolio.

This is a hybrid position with regular travel required across the organisation's operating regions, including

London, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and Somerset .

The Role As Fire Risk Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across residential buildings, ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation and supporting the delivery of remedial programmes.

Working closely with internal teams, contractors and Fire Authorities, you will provide technical advice and ensure the organisation continues to meet its statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Fire Risk Assessments across residential buildings, communal areas and HMOs in accordance with BS 9997 and PAS 79.
  • Complete regular inspections of the housing portfolio and identify fire safety risks.
  • Audit and review Fire Risk Assessments completed by external contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Assist in producing fire safety specifications for planned and remedial works.
  • Work alongside the Fire Safety Manager and Primary Fire Authority on compliance matters.
  • Ensure fire safety actions are programmed and completed within agreed priority timescales.
  • Provide technical fire safety advice to colleagues across the business.
  • Support continuous improvement of fire safety standards across the organisation.

Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will have

  • A
  • Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification

(or equivalent).

  • Experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessments and producing professional reports.
  • Significant experience working within fire safety in a housing or residential environment .
  • Strong knowledge of current Fire Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience auditing third-party Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • A full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel across multiple regions.
