About the Role
We are recruiting a Gambling Practitioner to join our specialist service supporting individuals, families, and communities affected by gambling-related harm. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate professional to deliver recovery-focused, evidence-based interventions within a community-facing service.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate referrals into the service and provide screening, brief and comprehensive assessments.
- Deliver a stepped-care approach including:
- Brief and extended brief interventions.
- One-to-one guidance, advice, and support.
- Relapse prevention programmes.
- Mutual aid and recovery self-help groups.
- Recovery courses and aftercare.
Essential Requirements
- NQF Level 4 (or above) qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Health and Social Care, Counselling, or similar).
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs, ideally within addictions, mental health, or psychosocial support services.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and working within governance frameworks.
- Ability to deliver one-to-one and group-based interventions.
- Strong communication, engagement, and partnership-working skills.
- Commitment to recovery-oriented and person-centred practice.
