Overview

Team Leader – Children\’s Residential Care, Leyland | Full-time (40 hours per week, rota basis including days, nights, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins)

Are you an experienced children\’s residential worker ready to take the next step into leadership? We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to support the management and development of a children\’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for young people aged 11-18.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Lead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve the best outcomes for young people
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and organisational procedures

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Children\’s Residential Care (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience supporting young people in a residential setting
  • Supervisory or shift-leading experience
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and behaviour management strategies
  • Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rota, including sleep-ins and cover at other homes if required
