Wiltshire Council is seeking an experienced Brokerage Officer to support the efficient sourcing of care and support services in line with identified customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing appropriate care packages to meet assessed needs
  • Ensuring best value for money and effective use of resources
  • Working closely with social care teams, commissioners, and providers
  • Following agreed brokerage and procurement processes
  • Managing a fast‑paced workload and meeting timescales
  • Challenging and influencing where needed to support effective commissioning

Qualifications

  • NVQ/NC Level 4 (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience in brokerage, commissioning, or social care sourcing
  • Excellent ICT skills (Microsoft & specialist systems)
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and decision‑making skills
  • Experience with budget monitoring and financial processes
