Location: Hillingdon (Secondary School, ages 11–19)

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated and supportive team within a specialist education setting in Hillingdon. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a secondary school environment supporting pupils aged 11–19 with Autism, SEMH needs and developmental trauma, delivering high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a specialist Occupational Therapy caseload
  • Provide bespoke assessments and interventions tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Work collaboratively with education staff and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Support pupils with neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH needs
  • Contribute to staff training, consultation, and whole-school initiatives
  • Work within the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working framework
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards

About You

We are looking for a resilient, creative and enthusiastic OT with a passion for improving outcomes for young people.

Essential Criteria:

  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered and member of RCOT
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a school or SEN setting
  • Strong experience working with autistic children/young people
  • Experience working with learning disabilities, SEMH or neurodivergence
  • Strong understanding of OT theory and clinical application
  • Experience of multidisciplinary working
  • Excellent communication, analytical and clinical reasoning skills
  • Understanding of behaviour as communication
  • Knowledge of sensory needs, motor skills, and developmental needs
  • Up-to-date knowledge of trauma-informed practice and neurodiversity approaches
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Commitment to CPD and professional development

Desirable:

  • 3+ years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Postgraduate training in Sensory Integration and/or developmental trauma
