Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Southend for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join their Looked After Children team. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive service focused on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of looked after children in line with statutory requirements
  • Undertake assessments, care planning and reviews
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers and multi‑agency professionals
  • Promote stability and permanence for children in care
  • Ensure safeguarding standards are maintained at all times
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Experience working within a Looked After Children team
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload
