We are currently recruiting for a Social Worker in Children Services to join a reputable Family Support Team on a 13-week contract basis. About the Role: Social Worker in Children Services
As a Social Worker in Children Services, your primary role will involve working within the Family Support Team, supporting children and families facing complex challenges. You will be responsible for child protection, court work, and providing vital support to vulnerable children. The role requires a flexible approach, including visiting families in their homes and attending court proceedings. This position offers hybrid working arrangements, with some visits and onsite work on non-office days.
Candidate Responsibilities:
Conducting assessments and developing support plans for children and families
Attending court hearings and producing reports as required
Visiting families in their homes, community settings, or other locations
Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children
Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies
Supporting children and young people to achieve stability and positive outcomesCandidate Requirements:
Relevant experience in Children Services, including child protection and court work
Up-to-date knowledge of social work legislation and safeguarding policies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full registration with SSSC or HCPC (where applicable)
