The SEO Policy Officer will support the development and delivery of policy within a sensitive and high-profile environment. The role involves working on complex and often novel issues, requiring strong analytical capability, sound judgement, and the ability to operate effectively at pace. You will be responsible for producing high-quality policy advice, engaging with senior stakeholders across government, and contributing to cross-departmental decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide clear, concise, and credible policy advice to senior leaders and Ministers
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments and Whitehall

Essential skills and experience:
- Active SC Clearance
- Sole UK National
- Proven experience working in a policy role within central Government (MOD, Home Office, or FCDO desirable)
- Experience developing policy solutions in complex or sensitive areas
- Strong experience drafting policy papers and ministerial submissions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging at senior levels
- Demonstrated ability to build effective stakeholder relationships across government
- Ability to deliver high-quality work at pace in a demanding environment
