Service Care Legal are working with a well-regarded and growing law firm in Surrey seeking a Family Solicitor (2–5 years’ PQE) to join its established and supportive family law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a firm known for delivering high-quality, client-focused advice during sensitive and often complex matters.

Please note that this position is 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

The Role

You will handle a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, providing expert guidance to clients at all stages—whether they are already in dispute or seeking to avoid conflict. The caseload will include:

  • Divorce and nullity
  • Financial matters, including ancillary relief
  • Private children matters (Child Arrangements Orders, parental responsibility, schooling disputes, etc.)
  • Cohabitation and disputes involving unmarried couples
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Separation and judicial separation
  • Civil partnerships and dissolution
  • Domestic violence and harassment matters
  • Complex cases involving social services, adoption, and special guardianship

You will also have the opportunity to advise clients on negotiated settlements as well as represent them in more complex proceedings.

About You

Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–5 years’ PQE in family law. Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of family matters. Confident handling sensitive client situations with empathy and professionalism. Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
