Service Care Legal are working with a well-regarded and growing law firm in Surrey seeking a Family Solicitor (2–5 years’ PQE) to join its established and supportive family law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a firm known for delivering high-quality, client-focused advice during sensitive and often complex matters.
Please note that this position is 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
The RoleYou will handle a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, providing expert guidance to clients at all stages—whether they are already in dispute or seeking to avoid conflict. The caseload will include:
- Divorce and nullity
- Financial matters, including ancillary relief
- Private children matters (Child Arrangements Orders, parental responsibility, schooling disputes, etc.)
- Cohabitation and disputes involving unmarried couples
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Separation and judicial separation
- Civil partnerships and dissolution
- Domestic violence and harassment matters
- Complex cases involving social services, adoption, and special guardianship
You will also have the opportunity to advise clients on negotiated settlements as well as represent them in more complex proceedings.
