Senior Parent Support Advisor
Location: Enfield
Contract: Initial 3-month contract
Hours: 35 hours per week
Rate: 26 umbrella per hour ( 21 PAYE an hour)
About the Role
Enfield Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Parent Support Advisor to join our team. The purpose of this post is to provide a holistic assessment of families and offer single or multi-agency coordinated packages of support. You will empower families to identify and tackle challenging behaviours, reduce negative family relationships, and secure positive pathways for improvement, with particular emphasis on increasing educational attendance, attainment, and reducing exclusions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with families, offering listening, advice, and guidance to develop and enhance parenting skills.
- Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes to a defined client group.
- Complete assessments using the Early Help Framework and Signs of Safety model to make appropriate referrals to other services.
- Take on the role of Lead Professional, coordinating services in the Team Around the Family (TAF) and acting as the single point of contact when required.
- Work collaboratively with relevant professionals in statutory and non-statutory organisations.
- Support families who do not meet the thresholds for specialist services.
About You
- Minimum of 2 years experience of direct work with children and young people and their families
- Experience of working effectively in co-operation and partnership with a range of communities
