A North London local authority is currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Litigation Lawyer to join its established Legal Services team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of contentious matters within a supportive and fast-paced local government environment.

ROLE: Senior Civil Litigation Lawyer

LOCATION: North London

RATE: £49.91ph umbrella / £44.43ph PAY inc. Holiday pay / £39.65ph PAYE exc. holiday pay

CONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension

The Role:

  • To manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters
  • Cases will include landlord and tenant, housing litigation, employment disputes, licensing and judicial reviews
  • Contributing to the management and strategy of the Legal Services Team
  • Advising members at public and private meetings, including committees and sub-committees

About You:

  • A qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE
  • Experience of independently handling a mixed Civil Litigation caseload
  • Previous experience of working within a local authority legal department would be essential
