Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals committed to supporting vulnerable children and adolescents, providing them with stability and care.
About the Role:
As a senior residential support worker your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality support to children in residential settings. You will work closely with teams to promote well-being, ensure safety, and help young people develop essential life skills. If you have experience as a Children's Residential Worker and possess a genuine desire to create positive change, this role is perfect for you.
We can offer a salary of £30,160 + Sleeps ins (£60 per sleep in which totals around £7K over the course of a year) so you can expect an annual salary of over £37k. The Rota is set at least 4 weeks in advance with shifts between 8am-11pm with a sleep in and you will usually do 1 day on, followed by 2 days off.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Providing emotional and practical support to children and young people in residential care
- Assisting with daily routines, including meal preparation, activities, and personal care
- Monitoring and recording behaviour, progress, and incidents accurately
- Building trusting relationships with children and promoting their development
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored care plans
- Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents
- Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
Required Skills:
- Experience as a Children's Residential Worker or similar role
- Full UK driving Licence
- NVQ level 3 in residential care, or working towards this
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient attitude
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations
