Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker – Make a Real Difference Every Day

Salary: £32,644 – £34,824 per year*
Shift Pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off (includes sleep-in shifts)
We’re expanding our team and looking for Senior Residential Support Workers to join our solo home in Lancaster. This is a unique setting designed to provide tailored, therapeutic care for a young person who needs focused support and stability.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be a role model and leader on shift, supporting both your colleagues and the young person in your care.
- You\’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team that helps with everything from daily routines to life-changing experiences.
- Building meaningful, trusting relationships with the young person and professionals
- Supporting the care plan and helping the young person achieve their goals
- Leading and guiding junior team members during shifts
- Promoting a safe, nurturing, and positive home environment
- Encouraging development, independence, and education
- Keeping accurate records and maintaining professional standards
- Taking part in sleep-ins as part of a consistent shift pattern
What We’re Looking For
- We’re looking for compassionate, committed, and resilient people who are ready to take the next step in their career.
- Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or currently working towards it)
- Experience working in a children’s residential care setting
- Some team-leading or supervisory experience
- A full UK driving licence
- Aged 21 or over (due to legislation)
