This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of ongoing assessments from initial receipt through to the issue of final Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans. You will play a vital role in supporting schools, families, and professionals to ensure positive outcomes for children and young people. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of SEND assessments from start to finish. Lead and participate in Person-Centred Planning (PCP) meetings and termly school reviews. Draft, review, and finalise Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Handle decline decisions sensitively, ensuring families are fully informed and appropriately signposted to support services. Work closely with schools, professionals, and families to ensure statutory duties are met. Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and documentation.Essential Requirements Proven experience as a SEND Caseworker, working at both SEND Support and statutory EHCP levels. Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and related legislation. Experience in leading PCP meetings and liaising with schools and families. Ability to manage a busy, high-volume caseload effectively.
