Bristol City Council are looking for a Driver to join their Home to School Travel team.
Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the operation of vehicles, transport duties, and/or ancillary duties in relation to delivery of Home to School Travel service.
- To drive vehicles in a safe manner with regard to appropriate codes of practice and the comfort of children and young people, keeping to prescribed routes as required by the Home to School Travel Manager/Supervisor/Quality Assurance Officer.
- Responsible for ensuring the vehicle has sufficient fuel or is fully charged for the tasks it undertakes.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle, both interior and exterior.
- To ensure that all children and young people conveyed are restrained in the correct manner.
Requirements:
- Either Driving License CAT B, a CAT D (101), a full PSV license (qualified to drive up to 16 seat minibus) or a pre-1997 driving license.
- Good vehicle maintenance knowledge and ability to carry out daily checks and any required cleaning.
- Experience of working with children and young people.
