Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a Local Authority, based in Northamptonshire, which is looking to recruit an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to join their legal services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an established adult social care lawyer to support the Council by providing high-quality legal advice across a broad range of adult care matters, including advocacy and court work.
The Role
- Adult Social Care Solicitor - Local Authority (Hybrid work, Northamptonshire)
- Court of Protection work
- Mental Capacity Act matters
- Mental Health law
- General advisory work under the Care Act
- Associated court work and proceedings
- Mentor/support the existing lawyer and legal assistant in the team
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of PQE in Adult Social Care law as a Solicitor in England and Wales
- Proven experience working as an Adult Social Care Solicitor within a local authority or similar public sector environment
- Strong expertise in Court of Protection, mental capacity, and mental health
