Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Depot Supervisor on behalf of a local authority client based in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled supervisor with experience in waste management, street cleansing, or environmental services to join a busy operational team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of recycling, refuse, and street cleansing services
  • Ensuring services are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget
  • Organising and conducting scheduled monitoring of staff to ensure compliance
  • Responding to and resolving customer complaints in line with council procedures
  • Liaising with councillors, officers, and internal departments to maintain service standards
  • Communicating professionally with members of the public and promoting a positive council image
  • Monitoring operational costs and supporting purchasing activities
  • Ensuring vehicles and equipment are used and maintained correctly
  • Producing accurate operational and performance reports
  • Monitoring work quality, team performance, and overseeing agency staff usage

Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising operational teams within waste management, street cleansing, or a similar environment
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and operational best practice
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage workloads and resolve issues effectively
  • Full UK driving license required
