Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home (Liverpool) We are seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Liverpool. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) offered on an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. It’s an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. About the Role Based in a GOOD Ofsted-rated children’s home in Liverpool Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people Support their day-to-day needs, including education, health, wellbeing, and social development Build positive, trusting relationships to help young people process their life experiences and develop aspirations for the future Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure safeguarding and best outcomes Contribute to the smooth running of the home, following policies and proceduresEssential Requirements Direct experience of working in a residential children’s home setting Strong skills in direct work with children and young people Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People / Residential Care / Social Care (or equivalent) Current enhanced DBS check Ability to work flexible hours on a 3-week rotating shift pattern (including weekends, evenings, sleep-ins, and waking nights)Typical Shift Patterns Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm 2:30pm – 10:00pm Sleep-in: 11:00pm – 7:00am Waking night: 9:30pm – 8:00am Weekends: 7:45am – 10:00pm Sleep-in: 11:00pm – 7:30am Waking night: 9:30pm – 8:00amWhat We Offer A full-time contract (35 hours per week) for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of extension A supportive team environment within a well-established home Ongoing professional development and training opportunities The chance to truly impact the lives of young people and help shape their futures👉 If you are passionate about supporting children and young people and meet the essential criteria, we’d love to hear from you.
