As an Electrical Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of social housing properties through comprehensive electrical testing and inspections.

You will be responsible for conducting EICRs, diagnosing electrical faults, and completing remedial work in line with NICEIC standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Tester Role

  • Complete EICRs within occupied and void properties in line with current regulations
  • Carry out consumer unit replacements and remedial works
  • Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs
  • Produce NICEIC compliant certification
  • Complete responsive repairs and scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Update work orders via handheld devices efficiently
  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota to ensure 24/7 service coverage
  • Candidate Requirements
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing certifications
  • Proven experience carrying out EICRs
  • Social housing or domestic maintenance experience desirable
  • Full UK driving license
