Location: South East – supporting sites across London, Oxford & Winchester (hybrid with occasional travel)

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Hours: Full time 35 hours

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced People Adviser to join our client on a temporary basis, providing additional support within a busy operational HR function during a particularly demanding period. This role will support multiple office locations across London, Oxford and Winchester, with travel required on an as-needed basis to support employee relations activity such as disciplinary hearings, consultations and other people matters. While the majority of the role can be delivered remotely, candidates must be flexible and able to travel when business needs require. This position will have a strong focus on employee relations casework, supporting managers across a range of HR matters, contributing to organisational change activity, and delivering day-to-day People Services support across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence cases
  • Coach and support managers on HR policies, procedures and best practice
  • Manage ER cases through to dismissal, appeals and tribunal stage where required
  • Support change programmes including restructures, consultations and TUPE activity
  • Assist with recruitment and wider People initiatives in line with business priorities
  • Produce and analyse HR data and management information to identify trends and support decision making
  • Support the delivery of cyclical HR processes including performance reviews, pay and engagement activity
  • Contribute to HR projects, policy reviews and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a People Adviser / HR Adviser role
  • Strong generalist HR background with substantial employee relations experience
  • Confident managing ER cases independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and practical application
  • Experience supporting managers through complex people matters
  • Exposure to restructures, consultations or TUPE processes would be beneficial
  • Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills
  • CIPD qualified, part-qualified or working towards (desirable)
