Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Utilities Project Manager on behalf of a client based in Doncaster, supporting a major airport utilities programme at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
This is an urgent requirement due to significant issues across the airport’s HV infrastructure and drainage systems, with the main priority focused on the HV network, capacity, resilience, and associated upgrade works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing site conditions, coordinating works, and managing critical utilities projects across the airport estate.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage utilities projects focused on HV infrastructure and drainage systems
- Oversee issues relating to the airport’s HV network, capacity, resilience, and backup systems
- Coordinate and facilitate required upgrade and maintenance works across the site
- Conduct site assessments and liaise with engineering and operational teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales
- Report directly to senior management regarding project progress and delivery
- Proven experience working as a Utilities Project Manager or similar role
- Strong HV experience is essential
- Previous airport experience is desirable but not essential
- Candidates with experience managing HV systems across multi-sited estates with multiple transformers are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of backup systems, resilience planning, and HV network management
- Ability to work on-site approximately half the working week
- Interviews are preferred face-to-face, although Teams interviews can be arranged if required
- The contract is expected to last 9 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project approval and progress
- No on-call requirement for this role
- Candidates are not required to live within a specific distance from site, as on-call responsibilities are covered by the existing engineering team
