Service Care is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Prison Wing Facilitator to join the team at HMP Wealstun in Leeds. You will support a caseload of participants, delivering advice, guidance, coaching, and mentoring through 1:1 reflective practice meetings and group interventions. Your role will help individuals engage with prison provisions and prepare for release, contributing to their successful reintegration into society. This role involves working 35 hours a week for a salary of up to £27,000. An enhanced DBS and Prison Vetting Clearance will be required, and must be maintained for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Group Delivery: Facilitate high-quality, engaging group sessions that reflect the local needs of each cohort, ensuring high attendance and progression.
  • Support & Assessment: Deliver tailored 1:1 support, including resettlement advice, to help participants prepare for release. Provide feedback and development objectives to help participants achieve their goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop relationships with new participants, provide feedback, and work with internal quality assurers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside HMPPS and partners, maintain professional relationships, and help implement the Trust's policies to achieve project targets.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Proven experience in delivering training to adults facing disadvantage and working in high-intensity environments. Experience in supporting individuals with complex needs and tracking progress against targets.
  • Qualifications: Strong guidance skills, with at least Grade 2 standard for 1:1 and group sessions. Qualifications in Information, Advice & Guidance or teaching are desirable.
  • Skills: Ability to motivate and support individuals with complex needs, deliver engaging sessions, and work effectively within a team. Strong communication and active listening skills are essential.
  • Knowledge: A commitment to safeguarding practices, diversity awareness, and treating individuals fairly and respectfully.
