Service Care Education are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to promote positive behaviour and create a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural needs
- Assist in implementing behaviour support plans
- Support students in managing emotions and developing self-regulation skills
- Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies
- Help de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively
- Encourage student engagement and participation in lessons
- Maintain accurate behaviour and progress records
- Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and parents where appropriate
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
- Calm, patient, and resilient personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Relevant qualification in Education, Childcare, Psychology, or related field (preferred)
- Safeguarding training (preferred)
