Location: South Shields or Sunderland

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000

Service Care are delighted to be working with a well-known, growing practice with offices in both South Shields and Sunderland. You will be working for a practice that focuses on development and progression, as the current Director started as an apprentice!

As a Payroll Clerk, you will be running multiple payrolls for your portfolio of clients. This can be a mix of weekly, bi-weekly, 4 weekly and monthly payroll.

What you will be doing:

  • Payroll processing for weekly, 4 weekly and Monthly Payrolls
  • Calculation of wages, bonuses, overtime and statutory payment deductions
  • Ensure compliance with tax and employment legislation
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports
  • Maintain up to date employee payroll records and ensure data is inputted correctly
  • Handle payroll amendments, starters, leavers and year-end processes
  • Act as a main point of contact for your portfolio, handling queries and offering payroll advice
  • Reconciliation of payroll reports
  • Processing CIS returns for contractors
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience within Payroll
  • Experience in a payroll bureau/ managing multiple payrolls at one time
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
