A client within the Public Sector based in Somerset is currently recruiting for a Surveying Project Manager to join their Complex Works team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to assist in the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused building surveying and project management services, primarily focused on Damp and Mould related projects, while supporting the Home Repairs Service. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Ownership of larger Damp and Mould cases, HHSRS cases, and complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring that repairs are project managed to meet deadlines and within budget.
- Surveying and identifying building defects through correct building pathology and testing.
- Taking ownership of cases from site visit through to project completion, including HHSRS triage.
- Completing detailed reports and specifications, for example to support Section 20 notices and Damp and Mould/disrepair claims.
- External stakeholder engagement, for example with Local Authorities, and working with customers and internal departments to ensure works are completed to standard.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
- Proven track record in delivering/managing multiple technical building projects.
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practice, including CDM.
- Knowledge of HHSRS risks and relevant legislation/compliance.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
- Experience of Planned Works or Void Delivery within Social Housing.
- Additional qualifications such as CSTDB or fire-related fields.
- H&S qualifications such as IOSH, NCRQ, etc.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £47,793 p/a comprehensive benefits.
