Job Description
- Deliver specialist podiatry care to patients with ‘at risk’ foot health status, including those with compromised circulation, neurological deficits, and reduced tissue viability.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with painful gait anomalies through biomechanical evaluation and the prescription/manufacture of appropriate orthoses.
- Provide treatment for patients with onychogryphosis, including the use of local anaesthetics and minor surgical procedures.
- Manage a defined caseload of patients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to the ongoing development of the podiatry service.
- HCPC registration as a Podiatrist.
- Proven experience in a similar Band 6 role within the NHS or equivalent.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Experience in managing complex foot health conditions and performing minor surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and team-working abilities.
