Overview

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Addiction Social Worker to join Renfrewshire Council on an agency basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated addictions service, supporting adults with complex needs through assessment, intervention, and ongoing care planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake addiction assessments and reviews.
  • Complete Section 4 Care and Treatment assessments.
  • Manage and support a caseload of current clients.
  • Work with individuals experiencing addiction and associated mental health issues, including anxiety disorders.
  • Conduct home visits and community‑based interventions.
  • Develop and review care plans to support positive outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker.
  • Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Minimum of 1 year’s post‑qualified social work experience.
  • Previous experience within addiction services is highly desirable.
  • Ability to undertake home visits and community‑based work.
  • Strong assessment and care‑planning skills.
