Painter- Domestic Properties

Overview

Job Title: Painter
Location: Leicester
Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Full-Time
Vehicle: Company van provided (Full UK driving licence required)

Responsibilities

• Complete all painting and decorating tasks to a high standard, in accordance with current regulations and manufacturer’s instructions
• Use a PDA (smart device) to accurately record time, SORs (Schedule of Rates), and materials for each job
• Carry out work surveys to assess scope and materials required
• Contribute to a culture of excellent customer service and continuous improvement
• Maintain van stock at optimal levels to enable a \”Right First Time\” service approach

Essential Requirements

• Eligible to work in the UK
• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent industry qualification)
• Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
• Full UK driving licence (a company vehicle will be provided)

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Proven experience in painting and decorating, ideally within residential or social housing environments
• Comfortable working in occupied homes, with a professional and respectful approach to tenants
• Ability to diagnose issues and identify additional repair needs
• Familiarity with Health & Safety practices and PPE requirements
• Confident using handheld technology such as PDAs or smartphones for job logging
