Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week • Contract Type: Full-Time

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter to join a busy and customer-focused team, carrying out a variety of repairs, maintenance, and improvement works across the client\\\'s housing stock. The majority of the work will take place in occupied properties, with some projects in vacant homes. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and reliable tradesperson with a broad painting and decorating background, a strong attention to detail, and a professional approach when working in tenants\\\' homes.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all painting and decorating tasks to a high standard, in accordance with current regulations and manufacturer\\\'s instructions
  • Use a PDA (smart device) to accurately record time, SORs (Schedule of Rates), and materials for each job
  • Carry out work surveys to assess scope and materials required
  • Contribute to a culture of excellent customer service and continuous improvement
  • Maintain van stock at optimal levels to enable a \"Right First Time\" service approach

Essential Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent industry qualification)
  • Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
  • Full UK driving licence (a company vehicle will be provided)

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven experience in painting and decorating, ideally within residential or social housing environments
  • Comfortable working in occupied homes, with a professional and respectful approach to tenants
  • Ability to diagnose issues and identify additional repair needs
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety practices and PPE requirements
  • Confident using handheld technology such as PDAs or smartphones for job logging
