About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Painter / Decorator to join our maintenance team. You will carry out high-quality decorating and multi-trade maintenance work across a variety of properties. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and excellent workmanship are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Internal and external painting and decorating work
  • Patch plaster, Artex, rendering, and plasterboard repairs
  • Minor carpentry, tiling, flooring, brickwork, radiator drops, and glazing
  • Estimate time and materials needed to complete tasks efficiently
  • Work safely using PPE and follow health and safety best practices
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, keeping them updated on work progress
  • Maintain clean and tidy work areas, leaving properties safe and presentable
  • Mentor or provide guidance to trainees or apprentices if required
  • Work flexibly across trades when needed

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Recognised Level 3 Painting & Decorating qualification or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Multi-trade ability: plastering, minor plumbing, carpentry, tiling, brickwork
  • Full UK driving licence and reliable transport
  • Strong practical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and work in awkward positions
  • Good communication skills and professional manner

Desirable:

  • Experience in domestic or commercial maintenance environments
  • Mentoring or training experience
