A client within the Public Sector, based in Greater Manchester, is currently recruiting for an NEC4 Site Supervisor to join their Highways & Engineering Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority highways / civil engineering environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role: To provide professional NEC4 site supervision services across highways and infrastructure schemes, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual, quality, time, and cost requirements.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Delivering NEC3/NEC4 site supervision in compliance with contractual requirements and specifications
  • Managing day-to-day site activities, record keeping, and monitoring construction programmes
  • Supervising contractors, consultants, and other external stakeholders on site
  • Coordinating with internal council services, third parties, and the public to ensure effective delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation, CDM regulations, and council policies

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require two to three essential qualifications / knowledge areas, including:

  • Extensive working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts in a site supervision context
  • Strong understanding of highways construction and civil engineering schemes
  • Knowledge of public sector project governance and assurance processes

Additional skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Strong project and programme management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £35 per hour Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35) (approximately £45 per hour PAYE).
