Warwickshire County Council is seeking an experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join its North Office based out of Nuneaton and Atherstone on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to work within a supportive local authority while managing a realistic and well-structured caseload.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of child protection cases in line with statutory requirements
- Undertake assessments, care planning, and court work as required
- Work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
- Prepare high-quality reports and maintain accurate, up-to-date case records
- Participate in child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified permanent experience in children’s social work
- Proven experience working within Child Protection
- Social Work England registration
- Strong knowledge of UK child protection legislation, policies, and procedures
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
