Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Practice Nurse to support with running Spirometry Clinics on a part-time basis for a GP Surgery in the Nottingham Area. The suitable candidate will be able to autonomously perform spirometry clinics with pre-booked patients to help support the service up to 3 days per month. This contract is extremely flexible, with clinics booked around your availability.

Contract: Locum | Ad Hoc / Flexible Clinics

Rate: £32 LTD p/h (PAYE option available)

Clinic: 10am set up - 5pm (30 min break)

Service Care Solutions are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to run respiratory and spirometry clinics in Nottingham (NG16) and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for an autonomous, skilled nurse with recent spirometry experience who is looking for flexible, rewarding work within a supportive GP surgery environment.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory assessment and monitoring services, supporting the diagnosis and ongoing management of conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

  • Conduct comprehensive spirometry testing in line with ARTP and BTS guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for testing by explaining the procedure, obtaining informed consent, and identifying any contraindications.
  • Record and interpret results accurately, highlighting abnormal readings and escalating findings to the GP or respiratory lead.
  • Support the diagnosis, management, and monitoring of patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Provide patient education on respiratory health, including inhaler technique checks, smoking cessation advice, and self-management guidance.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, ensuring data is coded correctly and uploaded to the EMIS system.

Registered Nurse (NMC) Ability to work autonomously and manage clinics efficiently.
